The Department of Economics at Dinabandhu Andrews College, established in 1956, has been a cornerstone of the institution's academic offerings. Affiliated with the University of Calcutta, the department provides undergraduate programs under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and the Curriculum and Credit Framework (CCF), adhering to a semester-based academic structure. The faculty comprises experienced educators, including Associate Professor Ranjini Lahiri and Dr. Sajal Jana and Assistant Professors Sumana Dutta, and Dr. Jhumur Sengupta, all of whom bring a wealth of knowledge and research experience to the classroom.
